Duties and responsibilities
  • Prepare your post and area of work
  • Ensure adequacy of supplies at the cleaning stations
  • Prepare and refill cleaning materials that should be frequently available especially at service peek hours (vetex, cleaning cloths, cleaning sprays and liquids, mops etc.)
  • Follow the guidance and complete the cleaning tasks requested from the Executive, Head or Sous chef
  • Put effort in optimizing the cleaning process with attention to speed and quality
  • Enforce strict health and hygiene standards
  • Help to maintain a climate of smooth and friendly cooperation
  • Complete cleaning tasks BEFORE & AFTER SERVICE HOURS ALSO
 

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a Dish Washer / Utensil & Equipment Cleaner role
  • Excellent use of various cleaning methods, materials, equipment and processes
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
  • Knowledge of best cleaning practices
  • High school diploma, food safety training will be considered a MUST
  • Working knowledge of various dishwashers and other cleaning equipment
 

Working conditions

The Dish Washer / Utensil & Equipment Cleaner position requires a person to work in special working conditions.
 
Special working conditions cover a range of circumstances from regular evening and weekend work, shift work, working indoors or outdoors and working with challenging, timing schedules.
 
The Dish Washer / Utensil & Equipment Cleaner MUST ALWAYS follow the time-schedule of the Kitchen team.
 
Collaborate with all others for the best results, in the best manner, in good professionalism and good faith.
 
Inform all of your C.d.p. Sous, Head, Executive Chef of any cleaning process, materials used and time of completion in every case you are asked to complete or redo a cleaning task during working/service hours.
 
The Dish Washer / Utensil & Equipment Cleaner is responsible for following ALL guidelines and orders according to the Executive Chef’s standards that are also followed by the Head Chef, Sous Chef and all C.d.p. on all aspects and steps of the cleaning processes during work.
 
The Dish Washer / Utensil & Equipment Cleaner must always collaborate with the Executive, Head Chef, Sous Chef and all C.d.p. at all times for optimum results.
 
Physical requirements
The Dish Washer / Utensil & Equipment Cleaner position is a physically very demanding position. You will be required to stand for extended periods of time, lift heavy objects, do repetitive tasks with few breaks, and be responsible for all cleaning processes and final result that will be entrusted to you by the Executive Chef and his team. You will be responsible for the cleaning of the kitchen’s equipment (good use according to safety and H.A.C.C.P. standards) and the methods and operations of all cleaning processes BEFORE, DURING and AFTER service that MUST BE followed.
