Duties and responsibilities

Clean and tidy all areas to the standard cleanliness within time limits

Deliver excellent customer service

Create daily job lists and record all serviced rooms

Maintain equipment in good condition

Report on any shortages, damages or security issues
-
Handle reasonable guests complaints/requests and inform others when required

Check stocking levels of all consumables
-
Comply with health and safety regulation and act in line with company policies and licensing laws
Qualifications

Proven working experience in relevant field

Ability to work independently and remain motivated

Helpful with customer service orientation

Prioritization and time management skills

Professionalism along with speed and attention to detail

Proficiency in English is a MUST, (other spoken and written languages will be an extra asset for this position)

Working conditions
The Maid position requires a person to work in special working conditions.
Special working conditions cover a range of circumstances from regular evening and weekend work, shift work, working outdoors and working with challenging clients.
The Maid MUST be accurate, and follow the time-schedule of the Housekeeping Department.
Collaborate with all other departments for the best results, in the best manner, in good professionalism and good faith.
Inform of all the changes or requests of any/every guest/client to your housekeeping colleague and Receptionist (or General Manager if needed) which you work with as a pair/team at any given time at the hotel.
The Maid is responsible for ALL cleaning procedures, hygiene and safety rules that MUST BE ALWAYS FOLLOWED for ALL suites and rooms.
The Maid is responsible for the service offices and stations of the Housekeeping Department. These offices and stations must always have all the cleaning materials and supplies needed for housekeeping services to be swift, efficient, professional and guest/customer friendly during the guests residence at the hotel. The maid must always collaborate with the other departments (reception, kitchen, bar, beach cashiers) at all times for optimum results.
Physical requirements
The Maid’s position is a physically very demanding position. You will be required to stand for extended periods of time, lift heavy objects, do repetitive tasks with one break, and be responsible for the housekeeping service offices, stations and operations during the hotel’s open season and also assisting guests and the housekeeper which you work with as a pair/team.
