The Bar Boy position is an extremely demanding position and not all people are cut out for this kind of work.The Bar Boy is the liaison, the ‘’human connection’’ between the bar and the warehouse, covering ALL THE NEEDS in materials and refilling during service.The Bar Boy is a physically strong and extremely endurable person who has the ability to work under extreme pressure, collaborate and keep multi-team view and tranquility.

 

Duties and responsibilities

• Refill the bar and barista area with special attention. Safety and hygiene rules MUST ALWAYS be followed and met at all times. The refill BEFORE service time will support all the service procedures during all working hours of the bar and especially peek-times. Coffee, Sugar, Ice, Chinaware,, Wine and Water Bottles,, Cocktail, Drinks, Coffee and Water Glasses, Coffee, Chocolate and Tea Pottery, napkins, towels, toothpicks, straws, ménages, salt, pepper, peppermills, sous-veures, first aid kits, service trays and service stands, bar cleaning materials, pens and order sheets are most of what you will need to refill to the bar area.

• Be always informed of all of the warehouse and cellar stock and any lack of ingredients or materials that are necessary for bar production. Inform and offer your assist to the team of the Bar for every new lack of material during service.

• The Bar Boy is the ‘’intermediate connection’’ for any information or change about an order, from the Warehouse department to Bar department and Vice Versa. You MUST collaborate with all bar/warehouse/kitchen staff

• Deal with complaints or problems with a positive attitude and immediately inform the Bar Manager so as for quick and immediate solution!

Working conditions

The Bar Boy position requires a person to work in special working conditions.

 

Special working conditions cover a range of circumstances from regular evening and weekend work, shift work, working outdoors and working with challenging clients.

 

The Bar Boy MUST be accurate, and follow the time-schedule of the bar/restaurant team.

 

Collaborate with all other departments for the best results, in the best manner, in good professionalism and good faith.

 

Inform of any shortage or lack of any material/ingredient from the warehouse to the Bar Team at any given time at the bar, during your shift.

 

The Bar Boy is responsible for delivering accurately and in time all that is requested/needed from and for the bar department. MUST ALWAYS FOLLOW the instructions of the Bar Manager without hesitation or second thoughts or do something he thinks better.

 

The Bar Boy must always collaborate with the other departments (kitchen, bar, beach cashiers) at all times for optimum results.

 

Physical requirements

The Bar Boy’s position is an extremely physically demanding position. You will be required to stand for extended periods of time, lift heavy objects, do repetitive tasks with one break, and be responsible for the entire communication between the Bar Team and Warehouse/Cellar and OF ALL BAR REQUESTS/NEEDS SWIFT DELIVERANCE.
